Privacy Policy

Data Wise Business Solutions, Inc. (DWBS) is committed to protecting the privacy and security of its online visitors by maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and security for all data collected from survey participants. This privacy notice describes how we collect information and how it is used.

Information Collection

DWBS provides online customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and employee evaluation surveys on behalf of its customers. In addition to the information collected through online and paper survey, DWBS may collect additional personal information, which is used for aggregated reporting. Such information may include the survey participant’s name, city, postal code, department, division, and email address.

In some cases (typically employee surveys) customers may provide DWBS with demographic information about their employees. This information will not be collected from the participant, but is still protected and private information.

DWBS may collect statistics about participant’s IP address and time of visit. This information is used by the system to eliminate duplicate responses. This information is never shared with the customer.
DWBS Survey System does use cookies. A cookie is file stored on a participant’s computer and is used by the browser. These cookies are used only for navigation through the survey.

Use of Information

DWBS uses the information collected from the online and paper surveys to compile reports for our customers. Due to the sensitive nature of this data, any information that is collected is treated with the utmost confidentiality. DWBS will not sell any personal information gathered from individual respondents. Personal data is never shared with any third parties.

Aggregated Statistics (Reporting)

DWBS compiles data collected from its online and paper surveys to produce reports for its customers. Such information is based on aggregation (summarized), anonymous information and does not include any personally identifiable information about individuals.

DWBS does have a policy to not report summarized data without having a minimum of three participants in a given demographic area. For example, there will have to be three or more employees in the accounting department that participated to be included in a report. If there were less than three, the accounting department would not get a report.

Some surveys allow for open ended (free form) questions. DWBS does not modify the text for these questions. Based on writing style, use of names or known situations, a participant’s identity could be determined.
